Motivated by a fascination for forensics and passion in unravelling the intricacies of the human body, Roisin embarked on her academic journey by pursuing a Bachelor of Biomedical Science. With limited jobs in science available upon graduation, Roisin worked at a medico-legal firm, performing case assessments for a medical specialist who acted as an expert witness in succession matters involving competency disputes.

Determined to advance her career the diagnostics field, Roisin pursued a Master of Medical Laboratory Science, and found great enjoyment in analysing patient cases and corresponding lab results to arrive at a diagnosis. However, she discovered that the work in the labs required less intellectual engagement than her university studies, thanks to technological advancements, leading to a sense of disillusionment.

Fortuitously, Roisin fell into a role as a law clerk, assisting a sole practitioner defending a client charged with murder in the absence of a body. Exposure to criminal law matters was where her passion for applying scientific knowledge and forensic skills to legal cases was ignited.

This experience, combined with an inherently deep-rooted passion for social justice, propelled Roisin to pursue a legal career. Since then, she has honed her skills in commercial litigation, consumer law, and risk management advisory, leveraging the invaluable insights gained from her scientific background.
